Homeowner’s Design

We started with a blank canvas and the homeowners told us their vision for the wood stove surround. Lindsey drew her ideas and we went to work to make it happen.  First we recessed the floor framing to flush the rock with the hardwood. No stubbed toes here! The stone mason, Mark Miller, salvaged 100 year old reclaimed brick and mixed it with stone to match her drawing. Zach cut down a cherry tree from his grandmother’s land. We took the rough sawn lumber to the wood shop and worked it into a mantle. To finish off we installed the shiplap and trimmed out the rock surround to bring Zach and Lindsey’s vision to life.
